Questions & Answers

Why does it say that many varieties are sold out?
We are a small nursery with very limited space. Currently, we have a higher demand than supply, which we are grateful for, but it means that many varieties sell out quickly. We are working on expanding our business to meet the demand.

This means the following stock statuses:

Temporarily sold out - Sorten kommer troligtvis tillbaka under säsongen.
Inventering – Sorten inventeras och kan dyka upp inom kort.
Out of stock – Sorten är slutsåld för säsongen.

How big are the cuttings?
The size varies depending on the variety and time of year. We deliberately take relatively small cuttings from the top shoots and have developed a technique for them to branch at an early stage to save space during cultivation and transport. From experience, we believe that small, bushy cuttings have the best conditions for further cultivation with you.

Who grows your cuttings?
We grow all our cuttings ourselves. We maintain our mother plants from year to year, from which we take top shoots. These shoots are then placed in peat pellets, where they develop roots under favorable conditions. When the peat pellet is fully rooted and growth has begun, we sell the cutting.

Should I remove the mesh stocking that the root ball is in?
You shouldn't need to do that, as the roots grow through it. However, it is very important that the stocking has good contact with the surrounding soil you are planting in to avoid creating an air gap. Some prefer to remove the stocking to minimize this risk, and we understand this. We recommend doing what you feel comfortable with and believe in.

I can barely see any roots outside the mesh stocking; does the cutting have no roots?
Yes, indeed. We only send well-rooted cuttings. You can easily check this by gently pulling on the stem from the peat plug. It should feel completely firm against the root ball. When roots encounter dry air, they get pruned. The roots think—this far but no further. We like to lift and check our cuttings frequently, which means the root ball is exposed to dry air and will learn that the peat plug that makes up the “pot” is of that size. As soon as it is planted in a larger volume of soil, it will test the limits of the pot once again. The growth of the roots also varies from variety to variety, and nutrient levels can affect the appearance of the roots.

I placed an order but haven’t received an order confirmation; why not?
Check that you have entered your email address correctly (Link). The most common error is an incorrectly entered email address.
If you haven’t received confirmation despite entering the correct email address, it’s best to contact us.
Since varieties sell out quickly, it’s not uncommon to feel stressed when placing an order, which can lead to entering the wrong address. We therefore recommend that you create an account with us at any time. This way, when the varieties you wish to purchase are available, you can log in to your account and complete your purchase with your information saved.

I have placed several orders; do you combine them?
If we notice this or if you point it out, we will try to pack these orders in the same shipment. However, this means extra work for us, and therefore we do not refund the additional shipping you have paid.

När öppnar ni?
Vi öppnar vanligtvis i slutet på mars/ början på april varje år och har öppet så länge lust och efterfrågan finns under sommarsäsongen.

Why do the cuttings cost so much?
The price includes 25% VAT. In addition to VAT, we pay tax on profits. We have costs for heating, maintenance, materials, and labor. The Agricultural Agency and the new requirements for plant passports, which are checked annually, also contribute to increased costs.

Can I reserve varieties?
No. We do not have the ability to keep track of this. When we release cuttings in the online store, it is first come, first served.

Can I keep them outdoors?
Yes. In the summer, geraniums thrive outdoors but should ideally be protected from rain and strong, persistent sunlight.

Can I return cuttings?
If you want to complain about your cuttings because you are dissatisfied, the reason must be documented, and we will agree together on how to resolve it.

Is there a risk that pests come with the pelargoniums?
We take this very seriously and actively work to combat pests. However, we are a pesticide-free cultivation and cannot guarantee that our plants are free from pests. When we bring in new varieties, they are quarantined, and when we believe there are no issues, we take cuttings that are thoroughly washed. These cuttings are then also kept in quarantine before being introduced to the cultivation. We encourage everyone to always keep new plants in quarantine from existing plants for a few weeks to minimize the risk of any pests affecting the existing plant stock.

Can you deliver to a different address?
You provide the delivery address when you place an order.

I provided the wrong address when ordering; can I change it?
If you have placed an order and want to change the delivery address, please contact us as soon as possible via email, and we will try to resolve it if the order hasn’t already been shipped.

Can I choose an agent for package pickup?
If you choose one of the shipping methods for pickup at an agent, you can select your preferred agent at checkout.

I want my package delivered directly to my mailbox; how do I do that?
When there is no risk of frost in your area, you can advantageously choose the delivery method 'PostNord Varubrev trackable to your door.' If there is a risk of frost, you should choose one of the shipping methods for pickup at an agent. If you choose 'PostNord Varubrev trackable to your door' and your package is damaged due to frost, no compensation will be provided.
Also, keep in mind that your package is exposed to a higher risk of theft since it will be left outside your door if it is deemed too large for your mailbox. Any thefts must be reported to the police by the customer in order for compensation to be issued.

I am not satisfied with my cuttings; what should I do?
Please contact us as soon as possible, and we will work together to find a solution.

Can I save my pelargoniums from year to year?
Yes, pelargoniums can live for many, many years. By overwintering them in frost-free conditions and pampering them with as much light as possible, you increase the chances of them surviving the light-deprived periods. We highly recommend investing in extra lighting to give them the best opportunities for survival. Pelargoniums are hardier than one might think, and even if they may look scraggly after a winter indoors, they will bounce back as soon as the light returns, providing beautiful blooms summer after summer. There are many lovely stories of pelargoniums that have been passed down through generations, reflecting touching human relationships.
